Fitness & Beyond offers personal training, through one-on-one and small group sessions, to baby boomers, seniors and those with medical conditions.

No matter your previous fitness experience, we are committed to helping you live a healthy life and reach your fitness or weight loss goals. We are not afraid to say we have the most qualified trainers in the area. Our highly educated personal trainers work with members closely to create safe workouts tailored to their goals and abilities.

Fitness & Beyond is a private personal training studio, located at 1032 S. 74th Plaza.

Unlike most over-crowded gyms, we offer the over 50 set a clean, intimate environment to work out. Fitness & Beyond has state of the art TRUE cardio equipment, including treadmills, elliptical trainers, and a recumbent bike. Also, there is a NUSTEP recumbent cross trainer that allows for a low-impact total body workout you can do sitting down.

Strength training is provided on the versatile Vectra Functional Trainer, allowing for a wide variety of exercises possible. It can be used for sport specific training such as golf and tennis. The Vectra can accommodate those in a wheelchair or those who use other mobility aids.

The goal at Fitness & Beyond is to improve the client’s overall health and well-being.

Exercise has proven to benefit more than just the physical aspects of health. It empowers the clients wth knowledge, motivation, encouragement, skills, and camaraderie. These benefits far exceed the client’s expectations and go above and beyond.

Jacey Gengenbach is a certified personal trainer, one of the top three finalists for the 2015 PFP Magazine Personal Trainer award. She has been in the health/fitness industry for twenty-two years. Jacey has a broad background in the fitness industry, including working with collegiate athletes, training in “big box” gym facilities, small wellness centers, physical therapy clinics, in clients’ homes, and in private studios. Her interest in fitness was piqued early on and she has continued to pursue her career so that she can always be connected to people and their wellness.

Jacey is a certified Functional Aging Specialist; she is the first person in Omaha, Nebraska to earn this recognition. She has been certified with distinction since 2000 as a personal trainer through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Jacey has also completed Integrative Core Training for the Baby Boomer and Senior Population. She is the author of the book “Active Aging: Functional Fitness to Renew Your Strength, Balance, and Energy for Your Best Years Yet”.

In 2005, she started training her first client with Parkinson’s Disease. Jacey has been teaching exercise classes for people diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease since 2007. It has been an honor for her to be affiliated with the Parkinson’s Health Development (PHD) program since its creation. Jacey teaches five Parkinson’s Disease specific exercise classes per week for Parkinson’s Nebraska, a local non-profit organization. She is a certified instructor for the Delay The Disease Parkinson’s Fitness Program.

Jacey’s passion comes from her daily interactions with clients and the differences that she makes in their lives. Responding to her proactive treatments and soothing methods, her clients thrive in their physical abilities, find comfort within their own bodies and are empowered in by the skills she teaches them.

Jacey is originally from Cozad, Nebraska. She is a small town girl at heart and enjoys visiting her family there. She is the founder of Survivors Rising, a domestic violence non-profit organization, as well as Jacey is the proud mother to her 8-year old son Tristan. You will often hear Tristan telling others, “My mama helps people.”
